Treatment
AWES is the ONLY CWT-EPA facility with the technology to be permitted to treat metals-bearing wastewater. Our 7,000 square foot treatment facility is second to none in the state of Colorado. With our state of the art treatment technology, we meet or exceed the EPA’s Centralized Waste Treatment Regulations. Our treated wastewater is sent to Metro Wastewater for final treatment before being discharged back to the river. We not only remove contaminants but completely separate solid and liquid waste. This allows AWES to minimize our clients’ disposal liabilities because it reduces the clients’ final waste volume; the volume of the water phase is “eliminated”. Solids are dewatered and taken to a permitted Subtitle D landfill for disposal. All of our discharge is monitored frequently and checked by a third party laboratory.
